Executive summary
Neural Vibe Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. As a small, remote-first healthcare technology, AI, medical device and regulatory advisory business, Neural Vibe has a low direct emissions profile. The company does not operate a physical office, does not own or lease company vehicles, and does not directly control gas, oil, fuel or office electricity consumption.
This is Neural Vibe Ltd's first Carbon Reduction Plan and first reporting year. The emissions footprint set out in this plan is based on a proportionate estimated baseline for the 2024/25 reporting year. Emissions have been estimated using available activity and spend information, with assumptions documented transparently. The estimate will be refined at future annual reviews as more granular supplier and operational data becomes available.
Neural Vibe's most material emissions are expected to arise from relevant Scope 3 sources, including home working, limited business travel, cloud hosting, AI services, software-as-a-service platforms, IT equipment and professional services. Neural Vibe uses AI and cloud/SaaS services, including services provided by OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. These emissions are currently estimated using spend/activity-based assumptions and will be refined as supplier-level emissions data becomes available.
Neural Vibe Ltd is implementing an ISO 14001-aligned Environmental Management System, with certification targeted during 2026. Neural Vibe also operates an ISO 27001-aligned Integrated Management System and is implementing an ISO 9001-aligned Quality Management System, with certification targeted before the end of 2026. These management systems provide a structured basis for monitoring environmental objectives, supplier performance, risk, continual improvement and operational resilience.
Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Neural Vibe Ltd commits to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 at the latest. This commitment is aligned with the UK Government Net Zero target and the expectations of public sector and NHS procurement, including PPN 006 / PPN 06/21 Carbon Reduction Plan guidance.
Neural Vibe recognises that, while its direct emissions are low, its value chain includes emissions associated with digital service delivery, cloud computing, AI tooling, software platforms, IT equipment, professional services and occasional business travel. Neural Vibe will manage these impacts through proportionate environmental management measures, supplier engagement and continuous improvement.
Organisational boundary and reporting approach
This Carbon Reduction Plan covers the organisational activities of Neural Vibe Ltd. Neural Vibe is a remote-first business with no physical office. Its registered office is a virtual/postal address. The company uses a network of nine employees, directors and regular contractors, most of whom are regular contractors. Personnel work from home permanently.
For this first reporting year, emissions have been estimated using a proportionate approach suitable for a micro business with limited direct emissions. Where precise activity or supplier emissions data is not yet available, conservative estimates have been applied. Neural Vibe will improve the quality of its emissions data over time, particularly in relation to home working, cloud/SaaS and AI service use, and IT procurement.
Understanding our emissions
Scope 1 emissions are reported as zero for the baseline year because Neural Vibe Ltd does not own or lease company vehicles and does not directly control any gas, oil, fuel use or building heating systems.
Scope 2 emissions are reported as zero because Neural Vibe Ltd does not operate a physical office and does not purchase electricity for office premises. Electricity used by personnel working from home is treated as a relevant Scope 3 consideration rather than Scope 2 purchased electricity controlled by Neural Vibe.
Relevant Scope 3 emissions include home working, business travel, cloud hosting, AI services, SaaS tools, IT equipment and professional services. Business travel in the baseline year was very limited, amounting to a few hundred miles. There was no Brazil/UK travel that should be counted as business travel in the baseline period.
Baseline emissions footprint
Baseline year: 2024/25. This is Neural Vibe Ltd's first reporting year. The baseline emissions footprint below is a proportionate estimate based on the company's remote-first operating model, supplier profile, use of cloud/SaaS and AI services, limited travel, and absence of directly controlled premises or vehicles.
| Emissions category | Estimated emissions (tCO2e) | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| Scope 1 | 0.00 | No company vehicles, no office fuel, and no directly controlled combustion sources. |
| Scope 2 | 0.00 | No office electricity purchased by Neural Vibe. Home-working electricity is considered under Scope 3. |
| Scope 3 | 8.50 | Estimated emissions from home working, limited travel, cloud/SaaS/AI services, IT equipment and professional services. |
| Total | 8.50 | Proportionate estimated baseline for the first reporting year. |
| Scope 3 source | 2024/25 estimated tCO2e | Basis of estimate |
|---|---|---|
| Business travel | 0.30 | Very limited travel during the year, estimated at a few hundred business miles. |
| Employee / contractor home working and commuting | 2.20 | Remote-first model; no routine commuting. Estimate includes home-working energy impact. |
| Cloud, SaaS and AI services | 3.70 | Spend/activity-based estimate for European cloud hosting, SaaS tools, and AI services including OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. |
| IT equipment and purchased goods/services | 2.00 | Estimated impact of laptops, IT equipment, accountants and professional services suppliers. |
| Waste, upstream/downstream transportation and distribution | 0.30 | Minimal physical goods and waste; included as a conservative estimate. |
| Total Scope 3 | 8.50 | Total relevant Scope 3 estimated emissions. |
Current emissions reporting
As 2024/25 is Neural Vibe Ltd's first reporting year, current emissions are the same as the baseline emissions. Future Carbon Reduction Plan updates will show progress against this baseline once a full subsequent reporting year is available.
| Reporting year | Scope 1 | Scope 2 | Scope 3 | Total tCO2e |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024/25 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 8.50 | 8.50 |
Emissions reduction targets
Neural Vibe Ltd will work to reduce emissions from the 2024/25 baseline of 8.50 tCO2e while recognising that absolute emissions may fluctuate as the business grows. Reduction targets will therefore be reviewed annually to ensure they remain meaningful, proportionate and aligned to business activity.
| Target date | Target | Target emissions |
|---|---|---|
| 2027 | At least 10% reduction from baseline | <= 7.65 tCO2e |
| 2030 | At least 30% reduction from baseline | <= 5.95 tCO2e |
| 2050 | Net Zero emissions | Net Zero |

Monitoring, governance and reporting
Responsibility for this Carbon Reduction Plan sits with Brett Marshall, Founder. The plan has been approved by the Director on 29 June 2026 and will be reviewed at least annually.
Neural Vibe is implementing an ISO 14001-aligned Environmental Management System, with certification targeted during 2026. The EMS will provide a structured framework for identifying environmental aspects, maintaining environmental objectives, monitoring performance, implementing corrective actions and supporting continual improvement.
Environmental performance will be monitored through proportionate business records, including travel records, supplier spend, IT procurement, cloud/SaaS usage and available supplier sustainability information. As more granular data becomes available from suppliers, Neural Vibe will refine its emissions methodology and update its emissions figures accordingly.
